Welcome to Schlafman's Hollow!

We want to make your stay amazing so please review! We hope you will be gentle with our door screens, equipment and accouterments. Please read and notice the danger warnings in Red regarding hot water use and non-potable water info. For area tips and links visit the stuff to do page!

Tips and Rules!

Thanks in advance as these notes will help avoid problems, extra charges and will keep our prices low!

2 Guests per cabin Adults Only. Not Mobility Friendly. Cabins have covered and open outdoor seating options, indoor table with padded stools, towels, queen bed, bottom sheet and a blanket inside a clean duvet cover. You may want an extra blanket in cooler temperatures.

Smoking / Vaping / Marijuana allowed outdoors if away  from cabin door and other guests!

Pets may never be left alone here without prior approval. Pets disturbing others can not be allowed either. Ask if you need pet setting & there is a doggie daycare close by too! Note: Baxter State Park does not allow animals.

Garbage Must be Packed out A small waste basket is provided as a courtesy. Anything that won't fit in it must be packed out. If you are staying more than one day set the bag out side your door. Thanks!

Interior / Lights / 110v Solar AC. The ceiling light has a small white remote, use the remotes ON button to return to bright mode if changed. If staying more than one day we will provide a charge cord. The bench light, small fan and AC (700 watt max) are fed from 12v solar. The inverter is modified sine-wave, google any small rechargeable AC corded items like razors and toothbrushes for warnings and use at your own risk. Sorry, no inductive products (hair dryers, heaters, etc). Please help save our batteries for others by unplugging items not in use or when fully charged, especially after sundown as power is limited.

Outdoor: Umbrellas, Fire Pits and Outhouse The umbrella mosquito netting must be loosened and tightened as the umbrella goes up or down (cord lock by the zipper). Also, please never take our indoor furniture outside. Fire Pit may not be moved. Visit Grey Wolf Auto in Lincoln for a self service wood purchase bin or you may collect downed wood from the forest (please do not take the logs outlining the trail, be careful it's easy to get turned around in there :-). In high wind or a hurricane (50 mph +) we may have to collapse the outhouse. The Big Apple gas station is 3 minutes away or we can set up for use and take back down with a phone call..

Outdoor Kitchen - Safety Notice! On sunny days the water that comes out (non-potable from a hose) may be cool at first, then super hot as the water from the the sun exposed portion makes it's way through the line. Please clean up after yourself. Natural biodegradable provided soap only, no chemicals! Sink water collector bucket may need to be dumped. Propane area please smoke elsewhere.

Outdoor Shower - Safety Notice! The water comes from a hose and on sunny days could burn you. Please read in cabin instructions. Use provided biodegradable shampoo or similar only.

A few of of our in cabin collectibles, art and hand decorated solar lanterns are for sale. Just send us a text for a paypal link if you see something you like!
